The UES 400-WW WWII Model Denim Pants in Indigo are a mid-weight selvedge jean featuring a higher rise, slightly relaxed seat and thigh and straight leg.  Inspired by classic jean fits of the 1940s-50s, this jean is unsanforized but once washed to reduce shrinkage and help expedite the break in process.  Woven from custom developed yarns made with Zimbabwe cotton and mixed with brown cotton, the yarns are indigo rope dyed to produce a deeper blue coloration.  While this denim starts off a bit crunchy, it softens dramatically with wear and will reveal dustier tinted fading, reminiscent of old Levi's jeans.

Features:

  • Made from 14.9oz 100% cotton selvedge denim woven in Japan using Zimbabwe cotton
  • Unsanforized (not pre-shrunk) and once washed to minimize shrinkage and make for an easier break in
  • Fit: higher rise with slightly relaxed seat and thigh and straight leg
  • Woven with custom-designed yarns blended with brown cotton during spinning, then rope dyed indigo for a deeper indigo coloration
  • Custom UES copper rivets and goatskin leather patch
  • Woven slowly on antique power loom machines
  • Sewn with cotton threads that have matte finish and naturally evolve over time
  • Redline selvedge ID
  • Machine wash cold/ gentle or hand wash and air dry
  • Style: 400-WW

How We Measure

Shoes

All shoe sizes given in US sizing unless otherwise specified.

Bottoms

WAIST: Pull the front of the pants up so it lines up evenly with the back. Measure straight across the waist. It is VERY important to be sure to pull the front completely up in line with the back, or else it will result in a smaller waist measurement, which is not the true accurate measurement.

FRONT RISE: Measure from the center of the crotch to the top of the waist.

BACK RISE: On the back, measure from the top of the waist to the center of the crotch.

UPPER THIGH: Start 1″ down from the crotch, measure straight across the thigh.

KNEE: Start 13″ down from the crotch, measure straight across the knee.

LEG OPENING: Measure across the very bottom of the leg at the opening.

INSEAM: Measure from the crotch to the end of the leg.

FRONT LENGTH: Measure from the top seam near the collar to the bottom of the shirt.

CHEST: Measure straight across, from armpit to armpit.

SLEEVE: Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.

SHOULDER: On the back, measure from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
